One of the most frequently asked questions I hear is from patients who are concerned about uneven skin color. This uneven skin color, AKA hyperpigmentation, is very prevalent, and is most evident on the face, chest, and hands.

 

Oftentimes, it is a result of sunbathing. Even though most of us no longer sunbathe, the effects are cumulative. You are most likely seeing the result of sun damage that occurred long ago.
